
Green Economy and Vermi-Composting
Jaraa Social Venture conducted a Green Economy and Vermicomposting Training for the staff members of Dhokaima Café, Lalitpur on 14 August 2024. The training was facilitated by Ms. Hema Shrestha, Social Entrepreneur at Jaraa Social Venture.
The main objective of the training was to build the capacity of staff members to convert biodegradable kitchen waste into organic compost at the source.
The session also aimed to raise awareness about how small individual actions can contribute significantly to the green economy and promote both human and environmental well-being. Vermicomposting plays an important role in reducing methane emissions and minimizing waste sent to landfills.
